- Butter and flower for dusting
- 450 gr All-Purpose Flour
- 650 gr Granulated Sugar
- 155 gr Unsweetened cocoa powder
- 17 gr Baking Soda
- 8 gr Baking Powder
- 11 gr Salt
- 4 Eggs
- 350 ml Buttermilk You can use a liquid yogurt or Kifir; something that should be acidic
- 350 ml Warm Water
- 150 ml Vegetable Oil
- 10 ml Vanilla Extract
Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
Grease a cake pan (either two 9-inch round pans or one 9x13-inch pan) with butter. Dust it with flour and tap out the excess.
Beat the eggs. Add the buttermilk, warm water, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix these until well combined.
Add the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Using a spatula, mix all the ingredients until well combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan(s).Bake for 30-35 minutes for round pans or 35-40 minutes for a 9x13-inch pan, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
